Established in 2017, the Zimbabwe Theatre Academy Trust (ZTAT) is dedicated to the professionalization and strengthening of a sustainable theatre and film ecosystem in Zimbabwe.
The Academy values the use of theater and film as an empowerment tool for social transformation and deriving strategies that create development and employment opportunities for youths and women in the service of audiences and indeed livelihoods for the graduates of the academy.
This is achieved through providing specialized accessible training programs, community outreaches, performances, festivals, conversations, collaborations and research. The programs aim at capacitating creatives in delivering professional theater and film products and services.
